A Brief Biography

I'm a 36 year old Senior Business Analyst with the Canadian Division of a multi-national corporation that you'd recognize the minute I said its name.   Its a pretty good bet you even own some of the things we sell.  I wanted to be a lawyer originally but found way too many cool things to do in university that didn't involve lecture halls so that didn't work out exactly how I planned.  Stop shouting "Loser!" at your monitor.  People are looking at you funny.

For perspective, some of my core beliefs include:

-I have nothing against government as long as it stays out of my life.
-Maintaining your personal integrity will bring you more real happiness than millions of dollars.  Having a combination of the two, however, approaches nirvana.
-Only a fool starts a war, but its an irresponsible commander who permits his troops to be attacked and does nothing.
-There are no valid excuses for adultery. None. Period.
-People who thump bibles tend to be very casual with the rights of those who don't read their bible.
-Words mean things.
-Don't start a fight unless you are prepared to win at all costs.
-Facts are stubborn things.
-Honesty is not a relative concept.
-Non-judgementalism is wrecking western society.  Lines can be drawn.
-A salesman never has your best interests at heart.
-You're only as much a victim as you allow yourself to be.
-There are no rewards without risk.
-Freedom and liberty are indefensible in the absence of strength and the willingness to use it.
-Put a smile on one person's face each day and you'll be happy your whole life.
-Be honest, stand firm, don't compromise your beliefs for anyone.
-Avoid negative people; they have nothing to offer you.

As someone who spends far too much time on the internet I wanted a place to collect the links I use most often so I wouldn't have to be http'ing all over the place constantly.  That's the purpose of the (constantly evolving) news, info, diversions and Canada sections.  The Mitchbert area is different.  Writing about things that drive me nuts or amuse me gets things off my chest and keeps my friends from running away when they see me coming.  And its fun.  The world is full of people with a marginal grasp on reality and they deserve to be mocked.  You may not like Mitchbert's opinions on occasion.  Try not to let it ruin your life, okay?   Build your own website if it bugs you that much.  Learn to laugh.

Enjoy.
